Abstract:

Objective To analyse the clinical efficacy of oral fluconazole combined with clotrimazole suppositories vaginal administration (experimental group) and oral fluconazole alone (control group) in the treatment of Candida vaginitis by meta analysis. Method The randomized controlled trials (RCT) were retrieved from PubMed, Cochrane library, Embase, China Notional Knowledge infrastructure (CNKI)、WanFang and VIP database and references listed in all studies. RCTs meeting inclusive studies were included the data extracted, the quality was evaluated and cross-checked by two reviews independently according to Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions and then meta-analysis was conducted using Stata 14.0 software. Results A total of 13 studies and 1346 patients were included. Oral fluconazole combined with clotrimazole suppositories had a higher overall efficiency, the difference was statistically significant (RR=1.09,95%CI=1.00~1.19,P=0.038). After three months treatment, the relapse difference between the two groups was also statistically significant (RR=0.24,95%CI=0.12~0.48,P=0.000). Conclusion Meta analysis showed that oral fluconazole combined with clotrimazole suppositories vaginal administration had a better clinical efficacy in the treatment of Candida vaginitis.
