Facial tinea due to Microsporum gypseum:a case report and review of the literature

Abstract: A case of facial tinea due to Microsporum gypseum was reported.A five year old boy presented with erythema, papula, papulopustule for 20 days on his right cheek after trauma. Diagnosis of Microsporum gypseum infection was confirmed by microscope and fungal culture.The lesion was cured after topical use of ketoconazole cream for 2 weeks.It didn't recur in one month's follow-up.
