Three cases of human tinea corporis transmitted from rabbits caused by Trichophyton mentagrophytes

Abstract: Report three cases of human tinea corporis transmitted from rabbits caused by Trichophyton mentagrophytes. Three patients all had pruritic annular erythema with squam and a history of close contact with pet rabbits. Direct microscopic examination of scales revealed hyphae. Fungal cultural lead to the identification of T.mentagrophytes. They were all cured by oral and(or) topical antifungal therapy.
